Key Jungian Concepts
1. The Psyche is alive and has many components, most of which are unconscious.
2. Unconscious psychic components (complexes, anima/animus, etc) have great
influence on our lives and how we behave in relation to others.
3. The purpose of life is to become more conscious and continually strive for
wholeness.
4. The means toward consciousness is through the conscious, methodical
examination of dreams and other psychic content.
(Terms like Extrovert/Introvert, Personality Types, tests like Myers-Briggs
Personality Testing, and programs like 12 Step Groups–AA/NA, all owe there roots
to Jungian Psychology).
Recommended Books on Jungian Psychology
1). Robert Johnson’s Books: He, She, We, Inner Work,
2). Edward Edinger: Ego and Archetype
3). Carl G. Jung, Memories, Dreams, and Reflections
These are great books to begin studying Jungian Psychology. After these reading
